Model paper and interview pattern for the Dena Bank Jobs
Dena bank is one of the oldest Indian Bank, founded as a private bank under the name Devkaran Nanjee Banking Company Ltd, ultimately got its present name of Dena bank when it was declared as a public sector company in Dec. 1939. It is one of the largest Indian banks having a very good market share.
The recruitment for the job of Bank Probationary officer generally takes place by a written exam, followed a personal interview of the shortlisted candidates. The paper is so designed to have the capability to test the candidate in all fields, especially his managerial skills.
The format for the examination is as follows:
The recruitment process is basically divided into two phases:
1. The written examination: The written examination consists of an objective type paper, wrong answers carry negative marks. The candidates are expected to score at least 40% to qualify (35% for SC/ST/OBCs/PWD candidates), and a descriptive section. It is compulsory to answer the descriptive section in order to qualify. The candidates are supposed to pass in both the descriptive and objective sections separately. The final shortlist is then made on the basis of requirement of candidates for Personal Interview based on merit.
2. The interview: Candidates qualifying the written examination are selected for the interviews and are supposed to score at least 45% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates) in order to qualify and to be placed in the merit ranking.
